I've been having this issue for over a year where the Corona render window image is very different to the image file saved out. The file saved comes out flat and desaturated by a large amount.
The material preview actually looks more like the saved out version of the render which makes me think its the render window displaying the image incorrectly.
I have read that the render window displays a wider colour gamut than a jpeg/png can display but ive tried all different colour profiles in 3ds and saved as EXR and tif files at 8, 16 and 32 bit with no situation being able to recreate the rich colours of the render window.
I have 100% sRGB monitors calibrated with a spyder but the problem happened before the calibration (thought maybe calibration would solve the issue.)
Have tried 3ds 23 and 24 and corona 10,11,12. currently using 11 as 12 seems highly unstable for my use.
funny enough the jpeg image looks the correct as an icon preview and only when opened it shows as the dull colour.
This is driving me crazy, I have reinstalled all software. I dont see how any artist could work with images saving out completely different to the preview.
left image is render window. Right image saved jpeg.
