AMD vs Intel

The result was a speed-up of 10% compared to the 7.1 code, on the very same Opteron machine.

Does it stay the same speed on the intels or does it get slower?

I will check this tomorrow when I get to work; will let you know what happens.

hmmm... I wonder if that means that users could find a way to sue Intel if they use AMD chips and miss their deadline... There I go, thinking like an American again.

indeed. I once worked for a company that made wet benches for Intel. Every month our company meeting turned into an Intel bitch session as to why we sucked or this or that...they are very big bullies...

I always had a feeling this was the cause, But couldnt never be bother proving it.

Like i said ages ago Vray seems to prefer Intels, but its not vray really its the damn compiler code.
