  • MAX Script question

    I'm calling out to those of you who are MAX Script literate.
    I have two machines here, each with licenced copies of viz 2005 and Vray Adv.
    I have a cam manager script here that runs on one but not the other.
    It seems it won't load it correctly on the one machine.
    When I open the aplication it gives the following message-----

    Welcome to MAXScript.

    camManager initialized version: 1.05
    -- Error occurred in create_camManager_cameras()
    -- Frame:
    -- t1: undefined
    -- t: undefined
    -- c1: undefined
    -- called in prefsRoll.open()
    -- Frame:
    >> MAXScript Rollout Handler Exception: -- Runtime error: Cannot create nodes while processing standard scripts during startup - no scene present <<

    Can any one help me in getting this to work?
    Can I copy a .dll or .ini file from the good machine to the bad one?

    TIA
    Bret

    Oh, I've also lost my OPEN and Run option under the MAXScript menu bar.
    I have to go into the utilities panel to access it.
    I Don't know if these issues are related or not.

      dont know offhand what it is, but you can pretty much copy at will from one machine to another, try out BeyondCompare for an easy side by side comparison.. you may be missing a script in the stdplugs/stdscripts directory of one machine? or else in the ui/Macroscripts or in the scripts/startup directories. (Thats the oder they load in)

      As to the missing stuff in the menu, thats probably a corrupted UI, either load a new ui scheme, or re-add the missing things in the customize ui menu setup portion
