Just open for discussion.
My contract states that I need everything up front before I start work, and I quote from the information I receive. I have seen a pattern where, for the most part, interior designers come to the table extremely late with particular requests. I have a project I signed last week, and it was a rush project. I didn't get the CAD files until two days ago. Working long days and nights to meet the deadline, the interior designer dropped a color board on me this morning, the morning before the deadline. It wasn't in the quote; extremely unique items with low-resolution images (snagged off the web), and she is dumbfounded as to why I told her I would be happy to quote these extras, but I would need manufacturers' specifications and high-resolution textures.
What would you do?
