  • realtime rotating object "software"?

Hi i am looking for some solutions or software that make realtime object rotating for the web.

Anyone who knows any site that use this technique and what kind of software to use to make this.

For an example if i have one chair i want the visitor on site be able to rotate the object in 3d in any direction.

Any suggestions and or tips are welcome.

You could also use flash or quicktime i believe.

why don´t you render a qt object vr?

not 3D, but nearly as good as and less file size.

You could use director, it has a 3D plugin...plus it exports well out of max.

director is very good for it, but could complicate things as it does so much more + plugin download ~ 8-10 mb

Cebas has a quicktime vr plug-in that might be good. There is also rtre, although that is more of a walk through plug-in and it costs like $1295 US so . . . ouch.

Personally, I think this part of 3D really needs better, more photo-realistic software than is already out there.

                  Anyway, good luck!

RTRE is good but it make heavy file.exe not the best solution IMHO.

Download the Autodesk DWG file viewer or use the one that comes with the max8 cd. Its pretty good.

trixian: i think you mean DWF not DWG
yes it is very good indeed
we ve tested it with a model of about 100.00k polys and about 120 baked textures and looks pretty good and only 5MB

Yup, was DWF i meant. To many similar suffixes I think, dwg, dwf, dxf, dod, dad etc
