after 2 yrs of using vray , i started to use dr (8 render slaves).
dr rocks!!!
1 of them is still not working(render hot 192.168.0.120 failed) any ideas?

How old is that computer and does it have priveleges (can see rest of network)? Check to see if the firewall is letting it through. I think the license has a 10 CPU limit - so if you have any duals you may already be going over. What operating systems are on your network?

If the license is limited to 10 cpu limit, does it mean that when HT is enabled, each dual xeon counts as 4 cpu? It would only let u use 2 xeons and a half with DR, instead of 5 dual computers! would we get some benefit from disabling HT when it comes to DR?

DR allows 10 machines, not 10 CPUs... which is kind of different...

hi , i have mixed op system on them some are win 2k and some win xp
, i've noticed another error , somtimes the slave machines render empty buckets and in the vray massages i get no errors or massages.

Its a windows draw back ... only 10 connection at one time.

basically the version your usualy is still a little wonkey when it comes to the DR. but DR is rock solid in current versions. Im hopeing vlado will have a copy of vray he is happy with that he can put out as a build soon.
