Thanks for the link. This truely amazing. I am wondering what kind of computer power is needed to get that running

They asked everyone to tell what they were thinking about the new fluid system, calling everyone literally "fluid lovers". I wont comment on this
The fact is they have been overwhelmed by the response. I guess something big is going in there. I asked for alpha or beta demo versions but I guess they are not ready yet.

I think rendertime is also awesome
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

The Bubbles have me most impressed

As an embattled user of Realflow it is the Bubbles that have me most impressed. Well everything has me impressed, but those bubbles are just awesome. Any idea what this was rendered in ? I can vaguely remember a mention of Vray with Scanline ? or did I imagine it !!

i believe early stuff we saw from scanline used implicit surfaces with vrays sdk

                      From their site,
                      About FlowLine
“FlowLine” is Scanline Production’s proprietary and production proven Hydro Fluid Simulation and Rendering Software.
Rendering Software = Rendering Engine ????

then they also say it integrates into multiple render engines

                      Very impressive stuff alright.

The shark animation is about a year and a half old and was, as far as i remember, all rendered in v-ray. Here is one of the original posts of it's era http://www.chaosgroup.com/forum/phpB...pic.php?t=6802

I´ve asked for a demo of flowline but it´s currently unavailable. I does look like there won´t be a commercial product soon, if ever. Now u can use it only if u work in selected FX companies, including MPC in London. They are looking for BIG FX companies to partner and make the application evolve even more. On top of that, they aren´t thinking about creating a closed beta tester group, because, in fact, it isn´t beta, but a production-ready product. If it looks very impressive now, imagine in a year or two...

IMHO, it´s a pity it won´t be available to individual users...
