  • Well I finally got mine! "AMD Athlon 4400+ X2"

I finally stepped up and Upgraded my AMD Athlon 64 4000+ to a dual core setup. And wow... The difference is huge!!!!!! I can't believe how this thing runs. And get this; idle this CPU sits at 30C on an air cooled system. And under full load never peaks over 35C.... I can see some major OC'ing in the future

These are great chips. I've had 1- 4200 and 2- 3800's running at 2395 for several months now and not a single problem!!

                  @ Mathew Everett
Go run some of the benchmarks to see the render-times.

                  Best regards,

I actually have been working on a few ne wprojects on the tower, I will post some render times, and do the benchmark that si posted somewhere on this site.....

and No I do not use AI booster to OC my chips as I normally never OC my hardware... I don't see the point.
                    Thanks

ah ok, just that in your first post you gave them impression that you would.
And was just forewarning you to not use AI boost

I only use AI boost to see where temps are at along with CPU usage.. it is easy to pull up than Task manager most of the time.
                        Thanks

To each his own I guess, But I paid less than half what a 4800 would cost and it runs at the same speed now with max temps at 43 degrees under full load. Pretty good reason for me.
