  • DOF PRO question...

    Hi all,
I am considering getting DOF pro, by Richard Rosenman, which seems to be an excellent plug in.

I know there is no version for AE, yet, and I read the plugin can actually be "animated", that is, you can use it on sequence of frames, with variable Depth map.

Does this means you can do pretty much anything you could if it was a AE plugin? As long as your clip is a bmp sequence?

So, if I render a sequence in v-ray, and a grayscale depth map (forget about Z-depth using g-buffer), are there any limitations on what DOF effects I can get?

Is anyone using it here? Advices? Impressions?

    Thank you

    regards

i think the main problem is you can't animate the parameters...
I've got dof pro and i use it only on stills.
on animation i use final dof from cebas which is very fast (mabe not accurate like dof pro..) .
