Well, I guess we'll find out about Power Booleans on Monday for those of us on subscription. Really interested to see what AME comes up with!

Yeah, I know, I've seen it run

I just don't want to get my hopes up that we'd get it monday

Power Booleans sounds like a good possibility though.

you see, i have long lost hope of good things happening to max. they seem not to listen to us in betas...build in the competitive things like mental ray rather then rework viewport selection or node based system. so i dont know anymore.

I don't understand Dmitry, didn't they do all the things you mentioned? Or no? Can you elaborate?

well i ment, they build in unneceserry mental ray who no one needs really. But they over look important issues like I mentioned. Some one explained to me in beta that it all comes down to them taking the features request list and then taking out the ones they dont like, then counting how much money it would take to pay programmers to develop those features, then taking out even more, then keeping the ones they like the best and the ones that make most sence in competition wise like mental ray then counting how much money they have left and if not enough they take out even more features....
im dissapointed because autodesk is not poor, they are very rich. Why not make a product that will be fantastic?
rather when max 8 came out they already knew about all the bugs and issues, but guess what they didnt have time and money to put into finishing it, instead they write a service pack some month later...is that a correct way to go about things? I dont think so.

Dmitry, I hear what you are saying and I too am disappointed with this approach to doing business with Max. They are an extremely rich company and they can thank us, the users, for that postion. Consequently, they should be concentrating on making the best product possible. Not counting how much their corporate bank account is going to expand this year.

Really, a total about face to what the original founders of the company wanted Autodesk to represent. I actually find this kind of software development disgraceful (meaning they don't care as much as they should about the users and the software itself; just the money it will make them). Clearly Autodesk is all about the share holders and NOT about the users. Hmmmm . . . I feel really urked by this. Now I understand why the Maya folks were so upset and why SP 1 for Max was so poor. Truely disappointing!

I guess it is time to go and prod the beast with a big hot poker and get their attention. Maybe buy abit of Autodesk stock and visit the shareholders meeting and ask some straight forward questions! Dan Drake said he didn't think much to the female CEO of Autodesk so . . .
I'm sure the CEO and whoever else that is there would squirm their way around the questions or just do the corporate crap talk or just end the meeting due to embarassment. We all know how it goes!
