    Does anybody know does this work work with Vray. It said in the blurb on Max Underground that it is not compatibile with Scanline but works with Mental Ray ?

    Some of these images are amazing - truely awesome :

    sure it looks impressive, must be hell with max viewport, apparently only compatible with mental sh**, sincerly dunno about vray...

        I confirm, it's only Mr compatible.
        There no word about performing it with another renderer engine.
        It also only work on Max 7 and 8.

          Thanks that answers my question and a very interesting thread on cgsociety. I have been too burnt by learning and using renderers to consider changing from Vray. It seems that the AA lets them down so often. Those Vue tests would make great stills but for animations - uggh, I can just visualize myself up all night tweaking with random settings. As it is I am just getting to grips with Vray.
          Now Terragen is a sweekt piece of kit - if they ever managed to intergrate that with 3ds and Vray - I'd be all over it

            It is possible to get a camera in and out of terragen from Max.

              Interesting - I think I remember reading something about that a long time ago. But I am very lazy and I was thinking more along the lines of Vue5 Stream intergration where you could work in 3ds and have Terragen environments inported - I know that is probably a good way off. The atmospherics and clouds are so good, they blow everybody else out of the water that I have seen.
