just wondering if anyone here has experience with GIMP? ive heard it was better than PS and since the talk of the forum is compositing stuff recently im wondering if GIMP is a good alternative to PS

MSN addresses are not for newbies or warez users to contact the pros and bug them with
stupid questions the forum can answer.
It also doesn't have CMYK support from what I remember.
What I really didn't like about it though was that every single menu is it's own floating panel. I've gotten quite used to the windows idea of "container" applications (as long as I can pull stuff out of the container as needed that is) and I find having my menus and toolbars floating out in space with other windows or the desktop underneath them to get quite distracting.
