  • finaly we joined the x2 family

    wheeewhooo....
we just got 3 4200 x2 1g ram joining our small farm(more like a garden..)
and for those of you who still don't know if to go with x2 or not...
same scene render on a 3.4 intel with 2 g ram at 8.07 mins.
on the new x2 - 4.40 mins and btw those computers cost the same...
that is the best value /render power you can get,,

What's the rest of the system specs (MB, RAM, HD, etc)?
    www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

Now that is impressive! Same price half the time to render (almost). Wow! Next machine I get will be X2 no doubts!

X2's are the best thing to come on the market for rendering, with the exception of vray, of course.

I just joined the family this weekend

              $279 for 3800 and a MB at Fry's!

Much better workstation for the living room, about 1 million decibels less then the Xeon it's replacing, now the xeon is in the basement as a DR slave where it belongs.
