Vue Espirit and Xstream

Has anyone tried the two most recent versions? Any impressions? Vray compatibility? Here's some interesting videos their site has posted:

Yes I tried both of them.
Vue infinite is quite interesting for large landscapes where tree instances
are very strong and stable.
The terrain generator is also very good.

Radiosity and global illumination are too much slow on such a scene, I mean the landscape...
You must use standard illumination in a very high AA mode.

The sky is very bad if you need clouds...But if you need a sunny day with
clouds like cyrrus or stratus that are very high and soft in the sky, it's great.

In animation there are some problems of flickering difficult to solve, desepointing !

For xtream, well only usable with Mental Ray, so impossible to use it with
Vray...So bad. The concept is interesting and quite easy to use.
There is no words about adding external renderer engines compatible with.

I have tried both and there are appears to be issues with scale between Max and Vue5, camera aligning in max using align tool etc. I hope these will be resolved soon as i think its a good package.

hmmm....just for that vegetation (best I have seen since Onyx Storm) it is worth it to render a pass in mental ray...(It's free, with MAX, remember?).

But the Vue5+the plugin is a grant...a bit pricey.

Let's hope they will come up with a v-ray compatible version....
