ASUS rma; any problems?

Hi,

I lost my motherboard last weekend and have contacted ASUS ram department. They sent me to their website to fill out a form and now nothing over the past couple of business days.

My question is:

Has anyone here had experience with ASUS's rma service when a motherboard fries itself?


Just bought a Gigabyte socket 478 to replace the ASUS because I can't wait for them to get their act together.

Would rather have moved to a AMD X2 but funds are short right now.

in my experience it doesn't make sense to fix cheap computer parts.
it will take a few weeks at least, more likely a few months, if it's even possible at all.
in case there's still warranty you should recieve a new one (still takes weeks).
the only way to get a computer fixed in reasonable time is with a service contract, like for a dell machine.
