MAX6 gets 100% CPU usage when left alone???

Hi All,

I have a problem - when I leave MAX6 running for some time, without doing any modelling on it or rendering, it soon hits 100% CPU usage (3dsmax.exe process). Then I can`t move the viewports or anything, I have to restart MAX. But it repeats after some time...

First it happened at home (XP) and now the same is at work (W2K).

Is it a known bug? Do you have any fixes?

I`m really going bonkers with this....

there was a problem a while ago with the Nvidia drivers - they caused Max to run at 100% even when you werent doing anything. If you have out of date Nvidia drivers this could be the problem.

Thanks, that might be the problem, I`ll chase that issue...

Well, when I switch to software Zbuffer it does the same.
What a crap!
