MAXscript: select by name?

How do you select object in the scene using wildecard? Just like in the "H" panel?

for example:

select $plane01

selects that one object. What if you want to select all *plane objects?

It seems sooooo simple, but the listener is completely useless, even for such basic tasks....I mean, even Photoshop action recorder is more advanced!

forget it...I figure it out.

I was writing $*plane in a scene with no object corresponding to that string...I meant to write $plane*, which correctly selected all planes...

There is a script in the blur script pack that can do this I belive.
