Man, if you guys are paying that amount of tax! You better be getting some amazing social programs out of it. Or is it feed the rich politicians more money so they can swindle it all for themselves and their cronies?
I thought Canada was bad at 14%! And yes our politicians do swindle tons of cash. And they hide it very well, except for the last government. Apparently they are even tax free when working as a federal member of parliament. And gee, they have to work 6 whole years before they get a life time pension, plated in platinum and a gold spoon to boot!

7% GST, 7% PST = 14% inital taxes.
You must pay 8% PST in Ontario. Don't forget every Province is different.
