  • Intel Conroe CPU?

    Did anyone saw benchmark of upcoming intel CPU "Conroe" they smashed AMD FX 60. But they only tested it with Fear game. I wonder if the same will be with rednering in max?

    I almoust bought AMD X2 4400 but when saw those benchmarks I think I will wait a bit.

    I didn't see it yet....in my opinion AMD always is at least one step ahead from Intel and I little bit cheaper...AMD releases very stable products. If I was you, I'd stick with AMD.

                Can't wait to see what happens next week. I'm itching to get some new machines. Looks like we may get some breaks on AMDs when Conroe is released. http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2006/07...g_price_drops/

                One way or another, something fast and shiny new will be coming to me soon. :drool:

                  Well I ve decided to wait at least four months to get later revisions of components compatible with Core 2...there is no rush...even though the media are making grat effort to push people to buy new intels as soon as they come out.

                  I also want to see official benchmarks from proven sources and ill browse through loads of forums and look for bugs and incompatibility issues...i ve bought hi end once as soon as it came out and it was really unstable.

                      It was loooong time ago....1.4 ghz Athlon with 512Mb ram ))))))))))) i ve spent almost 2000 pounds on it (including monitor etc.)
