3dsmax at NAB - NOT !!!!

Even though NAB is not the place to showcase 3D this press release from Autodesk just about mentions 3dsmax - but heartly boasts about wha they are doing with Maya. I don't like the sound of this, does anybody have any idea if they thinking of killing 3dsmax ? or is it new kid on the block syndrome?

I honestly think it is "new kid on the block" syndrome. They have new products, and to make the aquisition make money they need to let everyone know in the universe that they now own Maya. Everyone already knows they own Max so they'll push Maya more right now fearing people may think Maya is history as a result of the merger.

Hoping your right

I'm hoping your right. I suppose Siggraph will sort the men from the boys - if they announce great new features for Maya and zero for Max then I'll have some food for thought - I am trying to visualize it, Maya and Max at the same stand, craziness !!
