  • UltraVNC or alternative on Win64 ?

    Hi!

We have purchased several dual opterons with 4 GB ram and we´ve installed win 64 bit on them. The problem comes when installing ultravnc to control the machines remotelly. Although there´s a 64 bit version of VNC, the performance is still extremely poor. I was wondering if some of you guys are using any vnc flavour or alternative to it on Win64? I´ve been searching for them, but ive no luck. We would like to stick to the vnc franchise, for many reasons, being one of them the reliability.

The reason to install win64 is taking profit of about 3.5 Gb of ram on WIN64 instead of 2.6 on Windows 32 bit...

    Thanks!

i get slow refresh times with my vnc viewer but then again all i usually need to do with my vnc sessions is just to click on either the max backburner server button or click on the vray DRspawner button since i dont like to run those automatically via services

We've been using TightVNC for a month now and it's quick and seemless onto our 64bit intels (althought it's a 32bit app). We use the fast compression setting.
