Dolphin = English
Dorado = Spanish
Mahi-mahi = Hawaiian
Most americans use mahi mahi now when refering to it as food because of the exact situation you get in Sawyer.
BTW... they have Osprey in the US too (they are rare).

That certainly does not look like a pigeon. Baby eagle is pretty acurate.

@joconnell, damm I remember that book I had to read itfor School, 'Kes' fU&$ing depressing or what,
Ayways SteveC I know exactly where you are coming from, I have similar issues with my wife, I think its a men are from Mars, Women are from Venus thingy, albeit like comparing the progs on Discovery/Nat Geographic channels against Desperate Housewives/Sex in the City.
One interesting thing about Kestrel is that they can see ultraviolet light, hence as a field mouse is out playing in the fields he leaves a trail of urine that emits ultra violet light, so even though he may blend in with the hay/vegetation colour he blows his cover when he takes a leak. Hence Kestrels have amazing hovering capabilities, kinda amazing when you think about it, anyways just though I mention that.
Cheers,

Osprey have the nickname "fish hawk" because they eat mostly fish and they are excellent fishers. I think their strike/success rate is something like 90 or 95%. We have them in our area, along with Bald Eagles, Red-tailed Hawks, and a few Peregrine Falcon (which are making a comeback).
Osprey and Eagles are raptors. Hawks are hawks. Falcons are falcons, but the Peregrine Falcon is also classified as a medium-size hawk. The American Kestrel is classified as a small hawk. The source I consulted is a bit confusing. I have a book somewhere around here, maybe it's more clear on the classifications.Surreal Structures
