  • Animated people for rendering

    Hello,
I wonder if you use some package of 3D animated people to include in your architectural animation, and what would you recomend for its easy use and good looking results.

    Thanks,
    Manuel

Is this what you are lookinf for, thery are image cels not 3d but you can dump them into your 3D scene,

No matter what you do with all these characters, they will end up looking like sims.

Yeah, we have almost every collection from them. The new rigged normal mapped characters are pretty cool.

In this video, I think 75% of the effect is due to the mocap file they have plugged in. Shaders arent brilliant, so the impression of real people is given by the realism your mocap is able to achieve.

yeah true true, mocap makes the biggest difference IMO

Especially when they are distant in the renders.. shaders dont matter so much.. but if they walk like robots its going to be pretty noticable.. its a good think AXYZ sell mocap files as well

hm, I have been looking at the XYZ animated people, downloaded the free demo, but could not figure out a standard system to apply mocap to the mesh.

In MAX, there are two or three different ways to do characters animation....very confusing.

Also, try to scale the mesh with the skeleton...things get ugly, very fast.

Considering the price, I would like to get a more "ready to use" product. If I need to spend hours just to scale, apply mocap to the characters, and otherwise tweaking the models, and get average results, I'd rather use 2D animated people...

It would be cool if someone finds a reliable way to use those 3D people.

                          thanks,
                          regards

Gio, sounds like you have never used biped before man.

Read up on it a little before you start scaling and try to stick mocap on there.

There are certain ways things need to be done and if you dont follow them things will either not work or go crazy.
