The Vizmasters conference for Vray is free and on Friday. I think that's probably the best time for most people to get together. The rest of the event is almost a week long so people are showing up at different times I'd imagine:
http://dvc.vismasters.com/VRay.cfm Stop by the VisMasters booth at the Main Exhibition and register your name earlier (you'd be stupid if you weren't a registered user - just look at Vlado's muscles) just so they can have a better idea of how many people are coming. They will be arranging rooms according to how many people show up.
Perhaps we can all meet afterwards for food and/or drink. There's one right at the waterfront (name evading me right now - get back to you on that) and the Black Rose down at Faneuil Hall which can be a good time.
For others wandering around during the week, I recommend checking out Boston's North End for a little of the old Italian community - they've got the best pizza in Boston at Pizza Regina's (you'll want the North End location. Faneuil Hall (a touristy area) is also definitely worth a look. You can also take the subway to Harvard Square (Harvard University) - there's some shops and places to eat (Border Cafe - Mexican food and drinks, or my favorite Bartley's Burgers) is there as well. It's also worth taking a stroll through the Boston Common Park - the first designated park in the Americas then down through Newbury Street. Another great bar (but small) is Bukowski's down on Boylston Street. The cheapest and one of the best places to eat is Dim Sum in Chinatown at the China Pearl before noon - definitely bring a group that can tolerate very mysterious Chinese food. If you have extra money to spend, I recommend the Boston Duck Tours for a guided tour of the area.
Boston is a very 'walkable' city - you can get to many places on foot. If there's something you are looking for or a certain stle, just let me know. I'll have my cell phone on me so you can call 617-216-7495 in case you want any advice on places to go or things to do.
