      Hehe,

I read through both links and watched two videos while waiting for a single 400x300 preview frame to render
      Isn't this frustrating?

That Geomerics site is very intriguing. Real time collision detection on current CPUs?

Project Ofset looks nice...but i wonder how good it really is (that's the same for ALL of those vids) as i havent seen any in a real life application yet. Actually the new Crytek engine has some pretty damn decent stuff (like volumetric clouds and smoke, full day/night circle, softshadows, ambient occlusion, transluency, vegetation dynamics etc) But i wonder how those will perform when the computer doesnt only have to handle ONE single low-detail demo-room :P

FarCry Crysis - is a DX10 title. DX9 cards are still givin' awesome graphics, but volumetrics and some other stuff - like generating ambient lighting maps in real time - DX10 only. So - ONLY Vista. As you know - winxp won't have dx.Next. So 4gb RAm + huuuge monitor + speeedy CPU (maybe 4core ) - and at least smth like ATI R600 GT (middle-end) = you can play FC:C comfortable
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
