  • Argh... particles in viewport completely different to render

I've got a fairly simple particles setup, and the viewport looks as I would expect it to, but on render, its as though the timings/rates are compleley different.

I've got Display set to 100% so no reason for the viewport preview not to match the render.....or is there an option I'm missing?

    Please help!

I had the same problem and i keep thinking "integration step" doesnt give a clue about the system rendering it half speed...it should be the same, but with greater accuracy in the internal calculations...like reactor maybe...but im not a particle engineer

Imagine you are modelling conan the barbarian and have turbosmooth OFF in viewport and say a couple iterations in render. Then, you hit render and scarlett johansson appears...

            eheh, i hear ya
I tendentially turn around and start explaining my GF (while she's busy studying, or working, paying me NO attention whatsoever) my scripting issues.
She stares blankly at me, for a couple of seconds, mentions my whacky backy issues with a slight dose of sarchasm, and i invariably start jumping of joy as i found the solution

If that happened, I dont think I'd be too upset. :P
