I am trying to model some big drapey curtains at the front of an auditorium. I have played a tiny bit with the Cloth modifier, but I am finding it difficult. Any tips?
Maybe low-poly plane, deformed with cloth modifier (to be like a real cloth) and then converted to poly and hard hand-work Personally, I can't say Cloth modifier is hard, unpredictable enough, maybe...
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

If not, a loft with multiple (3or4) shapes, quite fast and versatile to change if needed
Thanks - that seems to work OK for now. I assumed a cloth simulator would be a simple '3-click' process, but lofts are far better for my level of knowledge.
I find it easier to use reactor cloth, i tend to pull vertex's inside the reactor viewport till i reach the desired look and then freeze it and it´s perfect when it´s not exploding...
