Very true, Percy.
One downside of the cute cartoony graphics is the amount of KIDS that play WoW, particularly as hunters, so they can have a pet.
Most guilds on my server refuse hunters right off the bat: too many twits running bear pet first into instances, and aggroing the whole of it with a smile.
You might be confused by us treehuggers and the pink city, as the funny humans and dwarves call it.
There sure are more girls in WoW than in BF2, or UT2k4, but not MORE girls than boys in WoW

careful the 'cute nintendo' gnome rogue doesn't backstab you, blind you, eviscerate you and then finish you off.
Hunters are one of my pet peeves. Your totally right about the hunter generalization. End game raiding with hunters is a challenge in patience. So many idiots... For some reason followed by mages. Damage meters in instances are just evil!

Like sex: if you have to ask is hard to answer.

Well, that lady in uldaman pictured above was hitting my 2k hps bar for 400 dmg a hit, every two seconds.
All the while she stunned me and the priest, would aggro him at the slightest heal (and i didn't need a slight heal, i needed a hell of a big one) and so on.
That evil enough for you?
And, mind you, Uldaman is not an end game instance, but a mid-game one.
Can't wait to bring the cat in MC lol.
I smell burnt chichen hair, why is that?

Thats in a 40 man instance. Its even worse in a 5 man because sometimes you dont have someone who can rez all the time, which means waiting for them to run back from the graveyard.

Umm. I'm seeing the addiction now and how it starts...
Free 10-day trial pass as www.warcraft.com.
I have to add, the game is NOT fun if you're wandering around by yourself like I did for the first few hours trying to figure out controls and how to play. But as soon as you join up in the group and start leveling up, it gets more and more interesting. Blizzard feeds your the ocassional morsel of finding something new and interesting. Then you look at the clock on the wall and a few hours have evaporated.
Later on, you start to quickly realize, your stuck with these people that log on religiously at specific times and have normal life rituals such as eating - so you end up standing around dueling, /rasping, waiting, and shooting the shit - all the while waiting for them to come back. Then, you find yourself in a dungeon and feel obligated to your new-found virtual friends.
The thing that amazed me last night (cough - this morning) was my level 9 Elf Priestess chick was led by these apparently skilled guild members who had me running like mad through this wasteland to find a place called IronForge. I got killed over 5 times thinking I was doing people favors by casting shields around them. I was the only NOOB in that damn castle.
And yes - I want a pet too. I also hate having to find my corpse.

By and at large you're correct juju.
But they made you do the trip across the great sea and the wetlands to get to IF @ level 9? that was EVIL of them, lol.
Beisdes, the best place for you to level up as a night elf is likely DarkShore, where auberdine and Darnassus are nicely connected by a cheap and quick flight-path...
IF is no place to be for a night elf @9love your visit and be gone, lol

Yeah - they told me not to leave their side. I think I'm stuck with them now. Trying to get my work done by 9 tonight so I can meet up again.
Hence the addiction has begun.
As a side-note, once you see how massive the whole game is, you start to realize why Blizzard uses cartoony graphics. But you get used to this relatively fast.
