    Hi jonny,

not sure there is, been looking for a while now but no luck, mainly cos
I dont seem to be able to play any of the quicktime panoramas I generate
on my xp64 machine, but they play ok on xp 32bit machines.

Dont know if there is a patch or update that can fix this.

I sure hope Microsoft lines all their "compatability" ducks up in a row before they release Vista later this year

Really it would be apples problem not Microsoft's, and if your that sqeamish there is a 32 bit Vista.

As for QT I haven't had any issues just use the standard install and you should be fine.

Got a link to one of the panoramas? I'll try it.

I am running Quicktime 7.0.4 on win64 - the latest version didnt worked on my system. this release works, only the play controls in a webbrower are pitch black. quicktime vr's wont work in that version too...

I'm having no problems with QuickTime on WinXP 64bit.

It sounds to me like you have the hardware acceleration settings turned down in the windows graphics settings. Or that you are using one of the pre-release builds of XP64.

Try updating your video drivers as well.

The other option is to install Quicktime Alternative.

Plays fine here(looks nice btw). I am running 7.03. I am afraid to update to the new one now.

I may try updating tomorrow though and let you know how it goes.

well, afaik quicktime VR's wont work with the quicktime alternative too...
if you updated your windows 64 then it shouldnt matter if it was a pre-release version or a recently bought version. btw, you can get a "new" trial version for free at microsofts homepage - runs for 6 month - just in case you want to try out a newer build before you buy it
