Hey everyone,
i am pleased to announced that Chaossquid is back. And it has a new name:
six4one
Why the namechange you ask? Mainly to prevent any possible legal issues with turbosquid, as they most likely wouldnt be to pleased IF six4one takes up.
Why six4one you ask? Mainly because i like the sound, and had the domain on hold
The changes in short :
Biggest change is most likely the addition of a public section. So now it is up to the author of a file if he wants to keep it for vray users only, or share it with the public. This also opens up six4one for everyone, not only vray users, wich hopefully helps in getting more files added.
The repository has been updated, and revamped. You can now add up to 5 screenshots, and completely maintain your files yourself. Including updating only the description, or license, or metadata, or updating the file itself to a new version. Please read the FAQ entries on "Submitting a File" and "Maintaining a File" before submitting a file. Also read the general submission rules!
I would like to ask everyone that already had files added to chaossquid to re-add them. I already added the Shopfront mapcollection. If any of the contributers prefers ME to re-add them, drop me a pm please. I just dont want to take credit for your submissions!
Note that if you were registered with Chaossquid, you do NOT HAVE TO RE-REGISTER, as the userdatabase has been transferred to six4one. If you are not registered yet, feel free to do so, and notify me to add you to the legit users group.
On a sidenote, the look and feel has been completely redone. Feedback on ANY of the changes and addition is more then welcome, either here or in the six4one forums.
And last but not least the new link:
www.six4one.com
Kind Regards,
Thorsten
