  • Windows 64 Not Opening on Screen

Has anyone had this problem ?

Basically, it shows Win 64 loading but then the screen goes black.

Another thing is that I am dual booting between XP 32 and 64.

    thanks

      Hi

I managed to get into it in Safe Mode but don't know what I am trying to fix.

Where can I find the system logs in Safe Mode ?

if you have the "my computer" icon on the desktop right click it and select "manage". If not just open your file explorer and do the same to the "my computer" in there.

In the Computer Management window your logs are under "Computer Management (local) -> System Tools -> Event Viewer ->" from there look in Application or System and see what there is for errors/warnings which may point to a hardware/software problem

Sorted it by doing a Repair install of the OS.

Think it had something to do with the VGA driver - not sure.
