  • Small font size for TV playback

We are putting a disclaimer on the end of a DVD animation. We need the smallest font size possible so that it is just legible but doesn't flicker.

    Any tips/recommendationsfor font and size?

(ps I'd test it but we don't have a tv to hand)
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

For a disclaimer you have to be careful - It falls under the area of the bacc who are pretty sticky about font size and so on - Your text will have to be at least 16 lines high (I normally go with 18px high type to be sure) and you'll need to have the text visible on screen for the right amount of time. I think from memory it's 2.6 seconds recognition and an additional .2 of a second for every word over 6 words.
