  • Wiring Bugs

I am still using 7.5 - I'm doing something seemingly very simple. I want to wire a bunch of helpers to rotate based of a master helpers rotation. I am getting a hole host of errors and crashes. I had this problem before and was wondering if the wiring feature is just buggy ?

Thanks as alway for your help.

I've had problems with reaction manager not working very well, and seen people mention that not being very stable (compared to say maya's driven key setup). Not sure how much that goes back to standard wiring or not.

      I think it's buggy

I had the same problems with the reactor manager and that is why I was trying to use yeh olde wiring parameters - it seems to have a lesser version of the same buggy problems. It seems to stem from pivot point orientation. Reseting the pivot points to World only works half of the time. I am hoping it's all better in 9 - yeh right ?

      Thanks for your help.

If you're only using simple wiring and not using any math to divide the results by 50% or whatever then just use instanced rotation controllers - same result and faster.

          Thanks j

Thanks j I'll give that a shot - I never really go into the controller types - I am I suppose a bit on the lazy / suspicious side of most of them. My animations are usually pretty basic and don't require too much rigging.

Thanks again I'll check it out
