  • vue to max?

    hi all,

is there a nice workflow (connection) between max and vue?
saw incredible renderings from within max with it.

but try'd it one time to export some trees and a landscape what me take several hours and many millions of polys. when i reduced export-quality it dind't looks good anymore.

i know that pirates of the carribien was partially made with vue, wonder how they did that.

    anybody?

    best regards

Jacksc02 is right Xstream is the only way to do it properly, the down side is no VRay support only mental ray and also there is/was an issue with unit scale. Animation also had a lot of fizzing on the trees, hopefully these have been addressed in Vue6 infinite which i think is the summation of their liasing with ILM whilst working on pirates.

        hmm,

        and the other way around?
is there a possibility to import animated cameras in vue?
so that i can render in vue and comping it after?

I wouldn't recommend it. Vue uses copious amounts of opacity maps for their foliage which vray doesn't get along with. We've gone to geometry only foliage wherever possible in our projects.
