Does anyone have experience of creating interactive presentations for touch screens ?

Its pretty straight forward to create a Flash movie that is interactive to show plans, movies etc.. but does the touch screen detect this functionality ?

    Thanks

did some years ago using Macromedia Director - touching the screen is just interpreted as "mouse down"

We've just setup a touchscreen system for a showroom kiosk. Basically, the Monitor just replaces the need for a mouse and keyboard - all is done throught touch screen interactivity. The application running the Kiosk was done completly in Flash. One thing we're finding however, is that our web friendly interface designs need to be altered for better touchscreen preformance - bigger buttons!

Since this is our first time in the touch-screen market, we went with one of the cheaper options from 'MicroTouch' - M170 19" screen. It seems sharp enough for our needs but the touch calibration is a bit tricky.

There is a process you go through to calibrate the "accuracy" of the touch. When we first used the touchscreen, the cursor on the screen would show up an inch or so away from where the finger actually hit the screen. Calibration tightens up that accuracy. However with this monitor, it seems like we have to calibrate it alot - As time goes on, it seems to gradually loose it's calibration. Any of this making sense so far?

I'm actually in the process of designing a Kiosk interface to use with the touchscreen. I have to make very large buttons and keep the text height rather high throughout. A little different from my typical website interface designs.

We use touchscreens made by Elo. http://www.elotouch.com Have yet to have any calibration issues and some have been in the field for years.
