well, the key is to NOT look at the major retailers - not sure what they are in AU, but here it's Best Buy, Circuit City, GameStop, EB, Wal-Mart, and all those biggies, but watch those smaller (but still large) stores like Target and Toys R Us. They get decently-sized shipments, but not as much traffic....
Just make phonecalls and save yourself the trip.....I got mine from TrU on the very first call....they had 6+ of them...shoulda bought them and sold them to you for just a little more for the hassle! hehe
If you KNOW you're getting one, I'd suggest going ahead and buying remotes and nunchuks as you find them. They seem to be the rarer find these days!
