  • Rigging help

    I've got some problems rigging a robot arm, can anybody help?
    black part - only going left/right
    peach - up/down
    turquoise - up/down
    green - left/right, with black/turquoise attached to it
    red - rotate around the green..
    pink - inward/outward
    yellow/pink - up/down

    how to do this? any ideas?

    i would say use reactor controller (not havox reactor) reactor controller is a special system in which allows you to key the specific tranformations of your model into controls, then use those controls as needed during animation.

      it can also be rigged using simple bones and a couple of well placed max controllers

        No need for reactor at all here, as da elf said normal parenting and possibly some wiring of rotations would do it. You just have to be careful with your parenting to make sure the rotations don't freak out.
