  • D2 Nuke

I have just try NUKE and maybe I m too stupid, but Nuke seems to be very hard to learn isnt it?
I m basicly looking for a true floating point compositing tool that dont require Einstien or Vlado's IQ
On PC's, TOXIK seems to be the only soft that can do that.
    Did someone ever try it?

    Yes,

we are using it and we are building our pipeline around it. It's very powerful and an ideal partner for VRay. If you are familiar with node based compositing like shake the switch is not to hard. Otherwise it's a bit harder

    Best regards,

    Dieter

but does Fusion perform a true HDR computing/file saving?
Because Combustion seems to work in floating point range BUT clamp everything when you save your rendering (even if you choose EXR floating point)

It not only does it, but read/writes what's likely the bigger amount of file types available in the PC compositing realm.
It's also updated a lot more frequently than combustion, i hear

Yup, I cant reccomend fusion enough. The only downside is the lack of learning tools avalible.

They partnered close, a while back, and while this is old stuff, the basic tuts are still gold.
