Movie Compression

Back in the day we I did a bunch of movies for this presentation we had for an industrial park. AllI could find was the UNCOMPRESSED 1GB files for each movie. I have people coming in today and we want to show them this presentation. I may be using these in a powerpoint, so I was wondering what was the BEST software to use for making these file types smaller and best quality...DIVX...XVID...etc....

VirtualDub - free and fast. You have to download xvid codec and that's it.... Use quantizer 1.0 - 2.0 for the best quality. Then load sequence and compress it, don't forget to set correct fps.

my best friend is QTs with photojpg codec

reasonable compression and really high quality

Great....Of course PowerPoint does not support quicktime...>Grrrrrrrr
