character rigging

hello all

I have to rig a chracter, but I didn't made anything similar yet. I thought to buy CAT for rigging and setup. Is this a good idea? any other tips to look at? does anybody knows useful tutorials or dvds to watch?

cg-academy ones. paul neale rigging. watched and they are great. very easy to understand, also covers scripting.

I'll second those - regardless of what rigging program you want to use, Pauls dvds show you why and where rigs in max normally mess up and how to solve or avoid the problems - well worth the money.
