Anyone know anything about this Autocad 2004 error? - INTERNAL ERROR: !saveres.cpp@437: egeneralmodelingfailure. Sometimes when it happens not even the RECOVER command works.....all work lost!!!! Even though Autocad is supposed to do the autosaves....in the memory there is nothing!!!

    There is 2 other ways:

You take the .bak file, rename it to .dwg, and then open the Acad software, type in recover,

So you do recover the backup file.

By defauld Acad saves a backup file, wich is each 10 minutes by default, so if you fool around too long, you are overwriting it with an empty scene.

    It is by default located
    C:\Documents and Settings\UserNameGoesHere\Local Settings\Temp

Of course, again, you are not saying open, but recover

I tried all that.....but unfortunately nothing works! Even the .bak file gave me the same error.

Thanks for the offer, but I already re-did everything. It is not the first time that this has happened to me. I was hoping to find another way to recover or avoid the problem. Maybe I should upgrade....perhaps it is a problem with Autocad 2004???
