  • max 9 thumbnails?

has anyone had any luck with showing max 9 file thumbnails in the explorer? or to rephrase - can anyone see max 9 file thumbnails?

i have checked the 'save file thumbnails' option, saw some fix involving regedit - but ohhf, isn't there another way?

it really is a pain to check hundreds of files to find one specific scene...

    i'm on windowsXP 64 and max 9 64

I *think* WinXP 64-bit has two Explorers - a 32-bit one and a 64-bit one, it may depend on which one you are using...

yep, you are right about that vlado, seems you can force a 32 bit explorer by running a new task like this:

          %windir%\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate, /root, c:

but unfortunately - still no thumbnails, tried both max 9 32/64 bit...

had a look at the registry as well, but everything seems in order. made a comment on the autodesk area - let's see what happens...

            HOLY DIVER!

            there's a fix!

and amazingly it works aswell! (at least for me it did)

            the thread is here:
            http://discussion.autodesk.com/adskc...28448&#5528448

...or if you need to register, get the file directly:
            http://discussion.autodesk.com/adskc.../thumbnail.txt

save target as, rename to .reg and execute (hope there's nothing fishy about adding it to reg, looks harmless enough(?))

            enjoy thumbnails!
