Yeah but by jobs I mean submitted renders. When we rent a farm we literally rent the farm: guy comes in with racks of computers on rollers and we plug them into a network.

Solutions like yours would be great for smaller places, and places that don't have access to places that rent racks of computers by the week. I have used them in the past, and they generally work well, if you build it into your cost and predict your render times.

Definately. I can see it coming in very handy for me in the near future - so don't go renting them all out to Mr Nichols!!!!

I've just run a small animation project through the farm and I'm a very happy chap .

It rendered like lightning and came out much cheaper than I could have ever done it myself. Plus, I used the time saved on another project! Anybody running a small vis firm should ignore this at their perril!!!

I can't see me ever rendering an animation or hires still ever again!

            Top service QuakeMarine1, many thanks

            Rob.

Of course I am used to farms from 60 to 2000 nodes
                  Woooowwwwwww!

We had over 2000 jobs running and logged in the queue within 2 weeks, so we need a robust system
                  Ooooohhhhhhhhhh!

When we rent a farm we literally rent the farm: guy comes in with racks of computers on rollers and we plug them into a network

                  nudge nudge
                  Kind Regards,
                  Richard Birket
