Sure you have to export/import OBJ files.. but hey if it looks good its worth it.

It works here. I imported a tree and used this to create ivy growing on
                  it.

Also, I found that I had to export the model from max at o,o,o to see it in
the viewport of the ivy generator.

Well if your coordinates are not set at 0,0,0 you can always rotate the viewport of the generator

Is it just me or is the work flow\interface and navigation logic absolutely horrific?

I just stumbled onto this program. It looks very cool.
What is the easiest way to export/import OBJ files from Max?
Is there a simple freeware utility out there, or do I need to get my hands on Solids works to do this?

in the past i used the habware plugins and they worked pretty good.

                              -MAX2OBJ
                              -OBJ2MAX

                              http://www.habware.at/duck6.htm

they are written for max6, but might work also with newer versions.

                              -oconv
