  • need advice for modeling chair

Hi, I tried to make one of these in the past with mediocre results. Really I'm looking for suggestions as to making this chair using 3ds max. I don't have Rhino or CAD here. The chair is an educational seat from a company called VS. It is called the Pantoswing.
My biggest problem has been the seat body...Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

    Poly-modelling all the way.
At least, that's how i approach these models, and generally it gives me the best results...

There are some really really good tutorials on polymodelling in max...
Try and search for an Audi Tutorial.
Aside from making me feel utterly useless, it taught me a great deal of how to go about the max poly object for best results and quick editing...

Look in the tutorials that come with max, particularly the spaceship and character stuff... that will give you a great intro to polymodeling.

Thank you both, I've found that Audi tutorial and it's very informative. Looking over the Max tutorials, too. The making a soldier one seems good, so far. Thanks
