  • various problems (backburner and AA issues)

    hello all,
i'm having some issues here and was hoping someone could offer some suggestions.

    1. i always seem to get gaps in my renderable splines. i've tried to bump up the AA settings but that doesn't seem to work. i'm animating some detailed power line poles with renderable splines all about and i cant get rid of the sporatic gaps that show up from frame to frame?. i've run into this problem before and have yet to find a good solution. the gaps dont show up at all in the scanline renderer. luckily the gaps in the splines show up in the alpha so my workaround is to isolate the splines and render them in scanline then composite them underneath the main animation layer in post.
does anyone know of a better way to do this?

    2. backburner is crapping out on me. i installed sp1 and now all my nodes (except the node where i submitted the job) get an error message when trying to render this job. the error says "an unexpected error has occurred in the network renderer and it is terminating" it may not be related to the sp1 install...i dunno. has anyone received this error before and what did you do to fix it.
    any help is apprecaited.

      1. What AA are you using? For thin lines probably better to use Adaptive QMC

      2. This is happening on every job you send? or just the first one you tried?
