    Bravo

I'd like to know what is all CG, some of the B52 footage is perfect.

I agree Lele, its just gone round the office, and all agree its very well done. My only comment is the wheels on the B52 when turning in the first shot. Didnt look quite right. But hey, its damn good.

Yeah there were one or two shots I didn't think were up to the rest when viewed on a tv screen but it looked amazing on 35mm.

yep the B52 wheels stood out to me as well...don't seem to be rotating fast enough...thats just nit picking tho
john, congrats to you and all who put this together...it's really amazing. i'm curious how you did the reflection/flares on the B52 metal, it looks great.

Nothing to do with me Joe - it was all done in after effects, mental ray and xsi. Nick did the flares with knoll lens flare pro and probably put them on by eye, he's been looking at those type of images for years. He's putting up a torrent of the file now, I think his bandwidth is being killed :/

Any of the shots of the planes are fully cg, the plane cockpits are cg and the external shots of the bar are matte paintings. Nick flew over to andrews airforce base and got into the cockpit of the b29 and took a load of photographs to model up the set for the actors to be comped into. He also drove around a lot of the desert areas nearby to get photos of the landscape, bars, buildings etc.
