    Hi,

We are trying to standardise what image viewers we use here and so looking for any recommendations.

At the moment I like picassa for searching and viewing images on our library, and have just been looking at sequence master as a way of viewing image sequences without the need to load them into a ram player.

but maybe there are better tools out there somewhere? something that did it all

a picassa type program that also viewed 3ds and max files would be good - does anyone use 3D Photo Browser Light
    (http://www.mootools.com/plugins/us/3...ight/index.asp)?

    Thanks

I use ACDSee 9 at home and at work. Its not perfect, but it does everything I need it to do. Its not free, but the basic version - which is all you really need - is only $40.

ACDSee has gone down hill long ago IMHO. Irfanview is quick and clean. XNView another option because it will view exrs. However, for my photo library, I have started to love Picasa by Google, which is also great for texture libraries.

We use ACDsee at work, does the job (barely)... Sucks though no HDR support

xnview would be cool if it was stable

              I use irfanview at home.

I use a really old version of acdsee classic, from before it became a bloated piece of software.
Its really quick, can convert images and recompress very quickly, but doesnt support HDR either

Irfanview is pretty neat the few times I have used it.

                    Same as daforce.
Acdsee classic is FREE on their site, and has no bloating whatsoever, nor any obscure hotkey mapping.
Irfanview looks like a mammooth to me, i always knew it but never once used it.
After reading here, i installed it and the plugins, but then, well.
What use is it to be able to see an hdr and not expose up and down?
I'll stick to acdsee plus hdrview for the time being.
                    personal preference, of course.

I have actually become quite fond of Faststone viewer - good editing / batching facility although not the fastest. But free for home use.

IrfanView irks me because of there poorly created icon. it needs some AA or something.
