  • any script like a paint tool for trees ?

I am sur this was asked several times.

but is there any good working maxscript, tool, for painting hundreds of trees on a ground (mean also vray proxys if possible ? )

i also knew of a script, that positioned random scalled and rotated trees along a path.. nice also for example for streets...

    any idea ?

should also work on win 64bit with max9 32 and 64 if available...

    greetings,

    Tom

You can use the crowd helper with proxies.

It's close to a scatter with simple object.

    Best regards.

        Hey Tom.
        http://66.240.211.158/3ds-max/advanced-painter

Also, i do have a toolset, partially developed with joconnell, that does a similar thing: allows planting of trees on an arbitrary "terrain" within a boundary spline. Of course it's at home with proxies.
It need authorisation, but being still in beta it'll cost you nothing
Message me on msn if you want it.

                hi guy´s, thank you all.

lele: i already have seen the advanced painter thing. i allready did use it some time ago, but that was with max7 i think.

a friend of mine tried to use it on max 9 sp1 with windows 64bit, which didnt seem to work.

so ill send you a pivat message for your nice script. if thats allright (dont have msn here at the moment )

I tried to install it with VIZ 2008, because I used it quite a bit with 2007, but it no longer works.

                  Advanced Painter does though.
