  • Marlin n' motion peolple

    Hello,
We are using these Marlin animated People and I've got a small problem. The loop cycles seam to be design to work by 30 frames per second (I suppose NTSC, they come from USA) but we are rendering the animation in PAL, 25fps.
The result is that the people move like in slow motion. The effect can be easily seen in the ram player of 3dmax, at 30 fps are ok, at 25 fps slow.

Maybe I’m blind here but I can’t figure out how to solve this. Any help will be appreciate.

    Cheers,
    Manuel

There are a couple of ways to correct this. You can open each of the animated people files (or merge them all into one file to save time) and Re-scale Time in the Time Configuration. You could also select them and scale the Keyframes in the Curve Editor.

Are you compositing them after the fact? If you have AE, Shake, Nuke, Final Cut or Motion you could do an optical-flow retime to speed them up while keeping the quality of the images, without needing to buy a plugin. Just speed them up by 30/25 = 1.2 = 120%.
